Edwina Bartholomew announces pregnancy on Sunrise
Surprise! Edwina Bartholomew has revealed she is expecting her second child while addressing viewers live on Sunrise this morning.
Edwina Bartholomew is expecting her second child, the Sunrise newsreader happily announced live on the program this morning.
“We’re having another baby!” the 38-year-old TV journalist told her thrilled co-hosts, David Koch and Natalie Barr on Thursday’s show.
She said baby number two is due in February.
Bartholomew, 38, knows the gender of her new bundle of joy but said she’d be keeping it under wraps for now.
“We found out this time because we just wanted to know but I wanted to keep that one as a little secret,” Bartholomew added.

The popular TV presenter welcomed her first child Molly with her husband Neil Varcoe in December 2019.
“I tried to tell Molly but she wasn’t interested,” Bartholomew added. “I showed her the photo but she proceeded to scrunch it up and throw it on the floor so hopefully when the baby arrives she doesn’t act the same way.”

Bartholomew recently hosted 2021 Olympics coverage alongside Matt Shirvington for Channel 7, and said she’d been feeling “nauseous” and was smashing Jatz crackers.
She said Barr had cottoned onto her pregnancy early on when Bartholomew was eating “a lot of peanut butter toast” to cut through morning sickness.
Bartholomew wed her husband Varcoe in 2018.
