Could Emma Freedman be happy at Channel 10?

EMMA Freedman could land herself a permanent gig at Channel 10 after her shock dumping from Nine.
The popular former Weekend Today weather presenter joined the cast of Studio 10 as its fifth panellist this morning and “crushed it”.
Studio 10 regular and pal Sarah Harris shared an encouraging pic on Instagram shortly after the 25-year-old appeared on the show. The caption read: “Smart and spunky - you crushed it on @studio10au Emsy!”
And executive producer Rob McKnight says he’d like to see the daughter of legendary Australian horse trainer Lee Freedman become a more regular fixture on the morning TV show.
“I’m hoping she’ll become part of our extended family as she’s great talent and a real loss for them,” McKnight told Confidential.

Studio 10 has a regular panel of four — Ita Buttrose, Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand and Jessica Rowe — with the fifth member changing each day. Former Wake Up co-host James ‘Matho’ Mathison filled in for Hildebrand this morning.
Regular viewers seemed to enjoy Freedman’s first appearance with the gang, tweeting their approval of the show’s latest addition.
.@emma_freedman has been so gorgeous to watch on @Studio10au this morn. Perfect guest panelist.

Freedman was with Nine for four years when she found out her contract had come to an end last month.
Her axing came as a shock to most with many on social media labelling the decision “ridiculous” and “a mistake”.
Freedman found out through her management and strangely did not hear from her bosses at Nine, news director Darren Wick or Today executive producer Mark Calvert.
While Freedman is yet to comment, her father, who has won five Melbourne Cups as well as taking out the Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Golden Slipper events, took to social media to slam Nine for the decision.
“Congratulations to CH 9 for firing Emma Freedman in a cost-cutting measure. Wonder what they’ll do to the ones with no talent ? #shot.”
Looking forward to making a guest appearance on @Studio10au tomorrow as their fifth panelist with my old mate @SarahHarris xx
