‘Bring it, Jeffreys’: Nine and Seven stars laugh off rivalry reports

NINE and Seven reporters Sylvia Jeffreys and Edwina Bartholomew are both on the royal coverage trail — and locked in a bitter feud, according to one outlet.

NINE and Seven’s rival morning show reporters Sylvia Jeffreys and Edwina Bartholomew have laughed off a media report painting them as the “best of frenemies”.

The Today and Sunrise reporters are both following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their current Australian tour, meaning they’re often reporting at the same location at the same time.

Online tabloid the Daily Mail yesterday acquired some paparazzi photos of the pair chatting in Melbourne looking less than happy — and ran them under the dramatic headline, “Best of frenemies! Rival breakfast show hosts face off”.

The pair took news of their apparent feud in good humour, Jeffreys blaming their subdued expressions on ‘resting reporter face’:

Fellow Nine reporter Erin Molan even joined in, telling the pair that “at least neither of you have had ‘subtle rhinoplasty’” — a reference to another Daily Mail article this week with the vivid headline, ‘A “subtle rhinoplasty”, injectable filler and a breast enlargement: Beverly Hills plastic surgeon claims Erin Molan may have invested in ‘under the radar’ cosmetic work throughout her career’.

“I’ve never had rhinoplasty — be it subtle or flaming obvious … I will enjoy the feud ladies — and your brilliant coverage,” Molan wrote.

Erin Molan’s message: At least they’re not reporting on your ‘subtle rhinoplasty’.
