Making A Murderer season 2 confirmed by filmmakers
FILMMAKERS have confirmed a second season of the Netflix doco, which will unearth more gritty details and delve further into the cases against Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey.
IT’S not the end of Making A Murderer.
Filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos have confirmed a second season of the Netflix doco, which will unearth more gritty details and delve further into the cases against Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey.
Ricciardi told Variety that there was so much more to explore in the story and they wanted to expand upon the initial 10-part instalment.
From our perspective this story is obviously not over. It’s real life and (Avery’s and Brendan Dassey’s) cases are both still pending.
“We have no idea when the magistrate will make a decision in Brendan’s case. We do know that two potential outcomes are that the judge could order Brendan’s release or he could order a new trial. So we are on the edge of seats about that. “
“To the extent that there are significant developments, we would like to continue documenting this (case).”
There is also talk of a blockbuster movie being made, with bookmakers tipping Billy Bob Thornton or Danny McBride to take on the role of Avery.
