ORANGE is the New Black star Laura Prepon has revealed that she was “bummed out” that her character, Alex Vause, was sidelined for much of the hit show’s second season.

“It sucked because [show creator] Jenji Kohan and I wanted me to be in it more, but with the schedule, it didn’t happen,” she told US Weekly at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards in Los Angeles.

“I was so bummed out. But I handled it, so I’m in every [episode] in season three. It is so good.”

Meanwhile, the star spoke about the impending birth of her good friend Ashton Kutcher’s baby.

Prepon said that the baby news is “so awesome”, and that “it’s going to be great” when the little Kunis-Kutcher arrives.

Prepon has previously spoken about her close bond with former That ‘70s Show co-star Kutcher. “We grew up together, you know?” she said at the GLAAD Media Awards in May. “It makes sense.”
