ROVE McManus went up against Kim Kardashian on Ten’s The Project last night to rival her now-infamous nude photo spread. See how he stacked up.

Kim Kardashian on breaking the internet

ROVE McManus has attempted to rival Kim Kardashian’s infamous nude photo spread.

Appearing on Channel 10’s The Project to promote her new fragrance, McManus asked Kim to show him the tricks of the trade.

Heckled by co-host Peter Helliar to “arch it, arch it”, McManus didn’t quite have the bountiful bootie, with Kardashian giving tips to “lean over more”.

“You don’t have as big a butt as I do, you have to bend over more,” Kardashian said as Rove conceded defeat.

Meanwhile, Kardashian defended herself against critics opposed to the now-infamous Paper Magazine shoot which, according to headlines, “broke the internet”.

The most famous Kardashian was surprisingly frank regarding her thoughts on the nude spread, revealing her main aim was to “feel confident” about her post-baby body.

“I looked back at a clip of Keeping Up with the Kardashians last season and I was really heavily pregnant, I was about eight months pregnant, and I looked at my sisters and said, ‘you guys, when I feel like I have my body back, I’m doing a nude shoot’”.

“For me, when I got the opportunity to work with the photographer Jean-Paul Goude, I was so honoured and excited to work with him and for me that was something I knew I wanted to do make myself feel confident,” she said.

Asked what she said to the many Kardashian critics who felt Kim was representing motherhood in a negative light, she hit back with, “I did it for me”.

“To each his own, as a role model I’m not saying anyone else should do that.

“I looked at it as an art project for me, this was going to make me feel confident and feel good and it taught me to do what you want to do.

“Everyone should do what they’re comfortable with. I’m never one to preach but I felt really positive and really good about myself.

“I loved the photos, I did it for me.”

Kardashian gave an insider’s glimpse into the photoshoot, which include full frontal nudes, saying her back “hurt for about a week” after the shoot, which involved Kim paying homage to photographer Goude’s iconic ‘Champagne Incident’ photograph.

“He has an art of posing you and it’s definitely not comfortable. Things were falling all over the place.”

She said she doesn’t think of herself as having started the big butt trend, calling it an “Armenian trend”.

“It’s still crazy” that fans say to doctors that they want her butt.

Kim is in Australia promoting her new fragrance, Fleur Fatale, a “heavily rose-based” fragrance the reality star was drawn to during her pregnancy.

“I couldn’t stand any fragrance, after I had my daughter I became obsessed with roses, so I wanted to come up with a great scent that was heavily rose-based.”

She proved she was still human when Rove commented on her heading out to her plane from Sydney to Melbourne today... in a ute.

She said, “it doesn’t matter, it’s just a car.”

“When I don’t want to be noticed by fans I just ask to borrow that car and no one will see it coming.”
