Greg Combet lets rip in first episode of ABC’s The Killing Season
ONE politician was certainly killing it on The Killing Season last night, and it wasn’t who we expected. WARNING: Coarse language.
WHILE most of us were waiting for the backstabbing one-liners from the former Labor prime ministers, it was killer quotes from former climate change minister Greg Combet that stole the show. Warning: Coarse language ahead.
Within the first two minutes of the ABC’s highly anticipated political thriller, The Killing Season, Mr Combet let rip telling reporter Sarah Ferguson that he “had the sh*ts big time” with Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard over their plan to overthrow Kim Beazley.
He them blurted out another ripper that sent Twitter into a frenzy.
“After the 2004 calamity where the caucus saw fit to install Mark Latham and Labor lost both houses of parliament … I thought, ‘f*ck this’ to be frank about it. I’m sick of it,” Combet said during the first episode on the ABC program.

Combet then produced another classic when he referred to former factional powerbroker from NSW Right, Mark Arbib, as a master in the “dark arts”.
Mr Arbib was said to have been instrumental in orchestrating Rudd’s downfall.

Mr Combet was also brutally honest about the infamous Pink Batts scheme, saying it was obvious it would be “open to abuse”.
“If you’re gonna hand over 1600 bucks to an installer to go out to someone’s home to install installation for free for the householder, they’ve got to at least have the life experience and experience in the real economy to say, ‘Well, sh*t that’s open to abuse isn’t it?’” Mr Combet said on the program.
