Matt LeBlanc is the latest cast member to be asked about a Friends reunion

THE world just won’t take no for an answer. Despite all the Friends stars saying a reunion is unlikely, Matt LeBlanc was still quizzed about the likelihood during a recent interview.

IMAGINE how annoying it would be to get asked the same question over and over again? Welcome to the life of the Friends cast.

Ever since TV reboots became all the rage, stars of the hit ’90s TV show have been asked in almost every interview they’ve done since if they’d ever consider getting the gang back together.

Matt LeBlanc is the latest to face the question and here’s what he had to say to talk show host Steve Harvey.

“Personally, I don’t think so. I’ve talked to the writers about it. That show was a very finite period in your life, between 20 and 30, when you’re out of school but your life hadn’t really started yet and your friends are your family, and you’re kind of finding your way. When that period is over, it’s over.

“All the characters have gone their separate ways. I always have this standard go-to joke when people say, ‘We want to see what Joey’s doing now.’ Nobody wants to see Joey at his colonoscopy. Nobody wants to see that.”

Before LeBlanc, David Schwimmer was the last Friends star to be asked about a potential reunion.

“Look, the thing is, I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches [and] walkers,” Schwimmer said on Megyn Kelly Today in January.

“I doubt it — I really doubt it. But thank you for asking, and moving on.”

Before Schwimmer it was Matthew Perry’s turn to respond to the question and he told Vanity Fair in June last year why he has no interest in a Friends reunion.

“I have this recurring nightmare — I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares,” Perry told the magazine.

“We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it. So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no. The thing is: we ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?”

A few months earlier Lisa Kudrow was asked the exact same question during an appearance on the US Today show.

“I don’t see it happening,” Kudrow said at the time.

“It would be fun, but what would it be about? Think about it. The thing we liked best about the show was that they were 20-somethings and they were their own family. Now, they all have families, so what are we going to watch?”

And it’s not just the stars of the show who get asked the question. Friends creator Marta Kauffman was quizzed about a potential reunion back in 2016 and her response was crystal clear.

“There will never be a Friends reunion movie,” she said.

They’ve all been pretty clear that it’s not going to happen, but one thing’s for sure, the stars of Friends can still expect to be answering the same question for many years to come.

Friends is done and dusted FOREVER.
