Final scene from the hit show all but confirms more from the Gilmore girls

IF THE four Netflix episodes didn’t satisfy your Stars Hollow hunger never fear, there’s almost definitely more on the way.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead.

Gilmore Girls sent their millions of fans into an absolute spin-out when it announced back in July they’d be returning for a Netflix revival.

The four-part series debuted on Friday night with plenty of bingeing on the four 90 minute instalments straight away.

Although the revival was received with mostly positive reviews, the final scene of the Fall episode had fans yearning for more.

And, luckily enough, that’s exactly what the creator of Gilmore Girls Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted.

Sherman-Palladino announced years ago she had always known the four words she wanted the show to end on but after an abrupt cancellation. Those magical four words were never uttered.

The A Year In The Life season has given fans something they’ve waited more than nine years for and now that we’ve heard them, it couldn’t of been more obvious.

As Lorelai and Rory sit together in the gazebo, Lorelai attempts to comfort her daughter on her recent breakup with the practically non-existent Paul.

As Rory gets increasingly distraught, Lorelai looks on in confusion and despair.

“Mum,” Rory says.

“Yeah?” she asks.

“I’m pregnant.”

Lorelai’s mouth drops to the floor and the screen goes black.

For most fans this sparked a million questions and incited everything from fury to elation.

Rory was supposed to be an ambitious journalist taking on the world and many felt a baby will ruin that.

Others realised with joy, the whole series could basically replicate itself just a generation later.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sherman-Palladino admitted she’s waiting to see how the series goes before committing to anything.

“We really had a very specific journey in our minds and we fulfilled the journey. So to us, this is the piece that we wanted to do. And the whole thought about, is there more, is there more, is there more — this has to go out into the universe now,” she said “And then whatever happens, happens.”

Gilmore Girls was set in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut and ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 on the WB and CW.

The newest Netflix revival A Year in the Life which had episodes, Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall was the show’s eighth season.
