Five TV reunions we’d love to see happen

HILARY Duff has revealed that a Lizzie McGuire reunion could be on the cards a decade after her hit Disney show ended. Here are five other TV show reunions we’d love to see happen.

Full House theme song

OVER the weekend, Hilary Duff revealed that she wouldn’t be opposed to a Lizzie McGuire reunion.

Duff, who starred in the Disney Channel series from 2001 to 2004 (including 2003’s Lizzie McGuire Movie), told the Huffington Post that a “Lizzie: Where Are You Now? like 10 years later” could be on the cards.

With the possibility of Lizzie reuniting with her old pals on the horizon, here are five other TV reunions we’d love to see.

Boy Meets World

Can you believe it’s been 14 years since Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) uttered, “Class dismissed” for the final time? Neither can we. Fortunately, we’ll get to see his favourite pupils back in action during the holiday season.

Boy Meets World alums Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Betsy Randall (Amy Matthews) and William Russ (Alan Matthews) will join their former co-stars, Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga Matthews), on a holiday-themed episode of Girl Meets World, the Disney Channel series in which Savage and Fishel currently star.

Although plot details are under wraps, Fishel’s Instagram snap revealed that the Matthews are hosting a full house for Christmas dinner.

Full House

Speaking of a full house, let’s add the rest of ABC’s classic TGIF line-up to the list.

It’s been nearly two decades since we said goodbye to the Tanners, but San Francisco’s favourite family may reunite in the near future.

As TV Guide reported in August, John Stamos (the charming and hair-obsessed Uncle Jesse) is spearheading a reunion with the support of series creator Jeff Franklin and some of the original cast, including Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler). Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) and Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) are also said to be involved.

Just don’t hold your breath on the Olsens returning for the reunion: They’re too busy taking over the fashion world.

Married With Children

Did Al Bundy ever stop selling women’s shoes? Probably not. But audiences may soon be finding out what happened to one of TV’s most dysfunctional families.

The Bundy clan (Ed O’Neill, Christina Applegate and David Faustino) recently turned out to celebrate Katey Sagal (Peg Bundy), the Sons of Anarchy actress who was honoured with a Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood earlier in September. While enjoying the festivities, Applegate (Kelly Bundy) told E! News a reunion could be in the works.

“We’re going to do something with Dave maybe,” Applegate demurred, keeping mum the details.

Stay tuned.

Saved by the Bell

If Lifetime’s campy, made-for-TV movie made you hungry for a Saved by the Bell reunion, join the club.

The Saturday morning sitcom, which launched the careers of Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen (then Tiffani-Amber), ended in 1993, and the core cast has yet to head back to Bayside.

In fact, the closest fans have come to seeing Zack, Kelly and company together is on the cover of People magazine(and Dustin Diamond wasn’t even included).

Friends

Even though a reunion starring the six original Friends has yet to happen, fans of the beloved NBC series can thank Jimmy Kimmel for bringing their dream to life — somewhat — over the summer.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in August, Jennifer Aniston reunited with former co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow as they acted out a scene (written by Kimmel, of course) set in their characters’ old apartment.

Though Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer were noticeably absent, Kimmel happily stepped in as Ross.
