MICHAEL Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson has slammed Joseph Fiennes portrayal of her dad in an upcoming series, saying, ‘It makes me want to vomit’.

Urban Myths - Trailer

WE’VE finally been given our first look at Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson in a trailer for the upcoming series Urban Myths.

And the music icon’s daughter Paris Jackson has publicly slammed Joseph Fiennes’ portrayal of her dad, saying: “It honestly makes me want to vomit.”

Fiennes stars alongside Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor and Brian Cox as Marlon Brando in the TV special.

The British-produced series is made up of eight 30-minute episodes about different celebrity stories that have become “urban folklore”. The story featuring Jackson, Taylor and Brando is about a fabled trip the three friends were said to have taken out of New York in 2001 after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The trip in question has been disputed.

A day after the first trailer was released, showing Fiennes as the King of Pop, Paris slammed the portrayal on Twitter.

“I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit,” she wrote in a series of Tweets. “It angers me to see how obviously intentional it was for them to be this insulting, not just towards my father, but my godmother Liz as well.”

“Where is the respect?” she continued. “They worked through blood, sweat and tears for ages to create such profound and remarkable legacies. Shameful portrayal.”

Paris’ comments came after MJ’s nephew Taj Jackson — of boy band 3T — slammed the “blatant disrespect” of the TV show.

“Unfortunately this is what my family has to deal with. No words could express the blatant disrespect,” he tweeted in response to screenshots of an unrecognisable Fiennes playing late-era Jackson.

Fiennes copped backlash last year when it was announced a caucasian would be playing the King Of Pop. At the time, Fiennes said while the special isn’t a biopic, he understood the concern.

“The decision with the casting and the producers — I wrangled with it, I was confused and shocked at what might come my way,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “ ... And I knew the sensitivity, especially to Michael’s fans and to Michael’s family. It doesn’t negate who he was.”

Check out the trailer above, which also features a sneak peek at other episodes about Adolf Hitler (played by Iwan Rheon), and Bob Dylan (Eddie Marsan).
