EXTRAS on the set of HBO’s next big series Westworld have been asked to sign a nudity clause, but it’s more X-rated than you can imagine.

According to Deadline, the sexually explicit consent form includes a warning of scenes with simulated sex that may require “genital-to-genital touching”, as well as mounting each other naked while riding around on all fours.

The contract specifies: “This document serves to inform you that this project will require you to be fully nude and/or witness others fully nude and participate in graphic sexual situations.

“By accepting this Project assignment, you may be required to do any of the following: appear fully nude; wear a pubic hair patch; perform genital-to-genital touching; have your genitals painted; simulate oral sex with hand-to-genital touching; contort to form a table-like shape while being fully nude; pose on all fours while others who are fully nude ride on your back; ride on someone’s back while you are both fully nude; and other assorted acts the Project may require.

“The Project will also include language and sexual situations that some may consider personally objectionable or uncomfortable.”

A representative of the Screen Actors Guild will reportedly visit the set this week to address the concerns of any of the extras, reminding members that under their existing contract, they could decline to appear in scenes that require nudity or sex acts.

Deadline reports background actors are usually paid $223 a day, but the extras on Westworld — of which there are as many as 50 — pocketed up to $854 for the steamy scenes because of the unprecedented amount of simulated sex.

“There’s been nudity in TV and film for decades, but I have never seen this kind of waiver before,” one of the extras said. “I would be surprised if principal performers were handed a document like this.”

The new sci-fi thriller series stars Anthony Hopkins as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin”.

Ed Harris, James Marsden and Evan Rachel Wood also star in Westworld, based on a 1973 film of a Michael Crichton novel about a futuristic theme park populated by robots.

HBO’s Westworld will premiere in 2016.
