Dr Chris Brown’s new show revealed
The beloved Australian TV star has a brand new show on Seven following his departure from Network 10 last year.
Beloved Australian TV star Dr Chris Brown is returning to screens with a brand new show.
Brown joined Seven last year after being poached from rival Network Ten, and now his latest project has been revealed.
In Once In A Lifetime, the beloved vet embarks on global wildlife journeys, joined by entertaining some other well-known Aussie faces including, Mick Molloy, Amanda Keller, Kate Ritchie and Matt Preston as his untrained and unqualified veterinary assistants.
Together, they help iconic animals while navigating unpredictable and often humorous situations. From saving endangered species to facing wild dangers, the stars will be at the forefront to experience some of the most jaw-dropping aspects of nature.
When Brown joined the network last year he began by fronting Dream Home, which initially proved to be a big hit for the broadcaster.
However, Seven failed to make mention of the series during Wednesday’s upfronts, suggesting it might not return in 2025.
Brown’s departure from Ten after 15 years was revealed in February 2023, with news he had been poached by rival network Seven.
It’s understood he is on a two-year contract with the network, believed to be worth more than $1 million a year.
His departure was a blow for Ten, who had used the popular TV presenter across multiple programs over the years, but especially for Morris, as she told news.com.au following their last season together on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here.
“I’m just sad in my heart,” she confessed last year.
“I think I’m still in shock, and in a very healthy way, I’ve decided to completely ignore it in my brain. This series has felt even more fun than usual, so I’m just not allowing my brain to click over to the fact it won’t be in this incarnation anymore.”
Meanwhile, during Seven’s upfronts it revealed that other series including: Farmer Wants A Wife, Australian Idol, My Kitchen Rules, The Voice, Dancing With The Stars and The 1% Club will all be making a return to air next year.
There was no mention of popular shows including SAS: Australia, Ultimate Escape and Made in Bondi.
