Project host Sarah Harris’ X-rated confession stuns panel

Sarah Harris has shocked her fellow panellists with an unexpectedly raunchy comment during a segment on the show.

The Project panel was left stunned by an unexpectedly raunchy confession by one of its co-hosts on Tuesday night.

Ten’s current affairs talk program had just aired a segment about Telstra sacking 2,800 workers in favour of using Artificial Intelligence (AI), when guest presenter Kate Langbroek suggested that robots would soon be replacing humans completely.

“You’ll come home and find a female robot in bed with your husband!” Langbroek joked.

“I don’t have a husband,” Harris pointed out, with Langbroek telling her: “You’ll get a robot husband!”

“I pretty much do,” Harris said candidly, leaving her fellow panellists - particularly Langbroek - stunned, before erupting into giggles.

“Oh! Oh, wow!” she exclaimed, catching on to the unsubtle reference.

Harris then continued: “Well, it’s not a robot - but it is USB-powered.”

Even Harris’ co-host, Waleed Aly, appeared to be taken aback by her X-rated comment.

Harris later appeared somewhat embarrassed by the exchange, asking her fellow panellists: “Is anyone going to say anything else?”

Project guest star Nick Cody jumped in: “What are we meant to say? ‘Good job, Sarah, Congratulations!’”

“I just completely ruined that. I’m sorry,” Harris admitted.

Last November, the popular TV host stumbled into another unexpectedly raunchy moment during a segment about crocodiles in Queensland, which included details of how their mating season had begun early as a result of confusion sparked by nearby military helicopters.

Harris explained: “That’s right – helicopters are making the crocs horny. No, easy way to say that. Experts aren’t sure why, but they think the helicopter may have sounded like a thunderstorm – which can often get the reptiles feeling randy.”

Her co-stars then questioned how experts can even tell when the crocs are “aroused,” and it sparked a cheeky confession from Harris.

“I’ve been doing a bit of a deep dive,” laughed the host, before turning directly to the camera to speak to Channel 10 bosses.

“Apologies to Channel 10 because I’ve made some unsavoury searches on my work phone this afternoon.”

Waleed then joked that Harris was just making excuses, teasing: “Nice cover, Sarah.”
