Four Corners journalists detained in Malaysia
TWO ABC Four Corners reporters have been released after being detained by Malaysian authorities for trying to question Prime Minister Najib Razak.
TWO Australian journalists were detained by Malaysian authorities overnight, but have now been released.
The two ABC Four Corners reporters were detained by Malaysian police while “reporting on a local political issue,” a spokesman for the broadcaster said.
The reporters, which included Linton Besser, were arrested after a press conference in Malaysia, Sarawaka Report reports.
They have since been released and have not been charged with any offence.

It is unclear how long the reporters were held in custody.
Sally Neighbour, the program’s Executive Producers, said on Twitter that the staff were arrested “after trying to question Prime Minister Najib Razak over a corruption scandal.”
