Piers Morgan locked horns with Andrew Tate over the influencer’s controversial views about depression.

During Saturday’s episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, available to stream on Flash, the former kickboxer claimed “depression isn’t real.”

“I believe that feeling depressed is real. I don’t believe that depression as a clinical disease is real,” the controversial internet star said.

The Sky News host disagreed with Tate’s comment.

“Not an eminent doctor in the world would agree with you,” Morgan said.

“You think you know more than doctors?”

Tate argued that he doesn’t believe the condition.

“I can’t become clinically depressed because I don’t believe in it,” he said.

“I can’t be haunted by ghosts if I don’t believe in ghosts.”

Morgan said Tate’s opinions were “ridiculous.”

Earlier in the episode, the two got into a heated conversation over Tate’s views about women.

Morgan questioned the internet personality about his previous comment that he finds women aged 18 or 19 more attractive than women over 25.

The outspoken journalist explained: “Because you are encouraging a mindset about 25-year-old women that makes them sound to be infinitely less desirable than 18/19-year-olds and having effectively too much sex to be taken in a more respectful way.”

The former Big Brother UK housemate disagreed.

“Firstly, even if that was the case that wouldn’t be misogyny. That’s not misogyny because that’s not anti-women, I’m not saying that an 18 or 19-year-old woman would be more desirable,” he argued.

“Anti-25-year-old women we can argue, but not misogyny.”

While Tate argued his point, Morgan suggested that “being anti any woman at all is misogyny”.

“Not when I’m saying women are beautiful and attractive at a certain age… ageist perhaps, but misogynistic absolutely not,” Tate shot back.

The TV presenter claimed that Tate’s explanation was him accepting his comment was misogynist.

Tate fired back, telling Morgan: “No I didn’t, you said it was misogyny, I’m telling you no it’s not.”

Tate made headlines in August after stunning the internet with his misogynistic views.

In a string of clips that went viral on TikTok, the disgraced influencer said women “belong in the home”, “can’t drive”, and are a “man’s property”.

In another clip he claimed women who are raped should “bear some responsibility”.

The internet personality was booted off Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube for violating the platforms’ hate speech policies.

Long before his rise to TikTok fame, Tate’s views on women have been clear.

Back in 2016, he was kicked out of Big Brother UK after a video emerged of him hitting a woman with a belt.

A second, released shortly after, showed him telling a different woman to count the bruises he apparently caused her.

Both Tate and the women denied any abuse occurred, and said the clips showed consensual sex.
