BEN Affleck has made a bizarre appearance on a US chat show, prompting speculation he was drunk.
The actor, who was on HBO’s Any Given Wednesday, appeared to slur his words, swore continuously and got very irate, reports The Sun.
He was discussing the topic of Deflategate – the NFL American football championship game scandal which involved Tom Brady and revolved around allegations footballs had been tampered with.
Affleck, 43, sent social media into a spin as he went red in the face on the sports and pop culture discussion show, seemed to slur his speech and got angry as he defended the New England Patriots quarterback.
Dropping the F-bomb multiple times, the presenter of the sports and pop culture show, Ben Simmons, appeared to struggle to stop himself laughing at certain points in the five minute tirade.
(1/2) For those of you keeping score at home, I gave exactly 18 f*cks about my Pats. Upon reflection, 12 probably would have been sufficient

(2/2) We Boston fans have always been known for our subtlety. One of my favorite interviews; hope you get to see the entire episode. #GoPats

Ironically the set is decorated with alcoholic drinks bottles.
The Batman vs Superman star ranted: “Deflategate is the ultimate bullsh*t f***ing outrage, of sports ever. It’s so f***ing stupid”.
Getting more and more riled, the actor went red in the face as he slammed the NFL for banning Tom Brady for refusing to hand over his mobile phone as part of the investigation.
He continued: “The first thing they’re gonna do is leak this sh*t! I dunno, maybe it’s funny lovely sex messages from his wife, maybe it’s just friendly messages from his wife.”
Tom Brady is married to model Gisele Bündchen.
Affleck added: “Maybe Tom Brady is so f***ing classy, and is such a f***ing gentleman, that he doesn’t want people to know that he may have reflected on his real opinion of some of his co-workers.”
Social media quickly picked up on Affleck’s demeanour with one saying: “Bruce Wayne go home ... you’re drunk”.
Another asked: “whyisBenslurringallhiswordstogether.”
The host of the show defended Ben’s appearance after the show aired, tweeting that the actor was just “fired up”.
He posted: “BTW - we taped AGW in the late-AM, Ben got fired up about DeflateGate during the convo, that’s it”.
