BBC presenter red-faced after accidentally reading out very raunchy viewer email live on air
“Lost for words”: A very raunchy viewer email has left a BBC presenter red-faced and spluttering during a live TV segment.
A BBC presenter was left red-faced after mistakenly reading out a very cheeky email from a viewer.
The fan had directed their affections to BBC Look North weatherman Paul Hudson, who admitted he was “lost for words” at the message, reports The Sun.
The banter between Paul and BBC One regional show anchor Peter Levy kicked off following the program’s regular segment, Leave It To Levy.
After Peter told viewers how they could get in touch, Paul couldn’t resist reading an email about his co-star’s pale summer suit.
He said a viewer called Anne had written in to ask: “Can you ask Peter if he’s umpiring a cricket match straight after Look North.”
Paul then giggled and said: “There we are. I could go on Peter,” to which the newsreader admitted: “Yeah you can go on, that’s the problem.
“I have nothing to say, just get it out of your system.”
After Paul read the sun-soaked weather forecast, Peter clearly appeared eager to get his own back for the cricket quip.
He pulled out a cue card and said: “Anne Yates says ‘I would love to have Paul face upwards’ …” before spluttering into laughter.
His face turned red quickly as he added: “Hang on, hang on,” before being left unable to speak because of his giggles.
Paul, also letting out a smirk, confessed: “I am actually lost for words so carry on.”
Peter then confessed the X-rated nature of the message and said: “No I’ve just read the next line, I can’t do it.”
Fans on X were quick to react, with one remarking on Peter’s red cheeks as they said: “The change in pallor is killing me.”
Another put: “So funny. Nothing too untoward in it. That’s what makes Peter and Paul great.”
A third mused: “That was so funny.”
One then quizzed: “What was the next line though?”
