Australian Survivor season two sneak peek
AN Olympian, plumber, doctor and an international poker player will all test their endurance skills on the second series of Ten’s Australian Survivor.
AN Olympian, a plumber, a mining technician, a doctor, an adventure guide and an international poker player will all test their endurance skills on the second series of Ten’s Australian Survivor.
More than 20,000 people applied for the second series of the reality series, which has been filming in Samoa this past month.
Host Jonathan LaPaglia told News Corp Australia the cast is more confident about the game after the success of the launch season last year.
“They are talking up a big game, so we will see how that plays out,” he said.
Julia Dick, who represents international production company Castaway Television which owns the Survivor format, said she was impressed with the casting process.
“I can’t give too much away, but just expect to be surprised and in awe of these people,” she said.
The cast of 24 Australians is expected to film for 55 days on the same remote Samoan beaches where the first series was staged.
The debut season saw former advertising executive Kristie Bennett take out the title of Australian Survivor, beating out former cricket star, Lee Carseldine and ex-Army corporal El Rowland (who found love with Carseldine during the island adventure).
The series promo will air again during tonight’s episode of MasterChef Australia.
A launch date for the new season is yet to be confirmed.
