Ali scores first kiss from the Bachelor with 'signature move'
REAL estate agent Ali scores the first kiss from the Bachelor during an "impromptu" dance lesson, but was the pash a smooth spontaneous move or a calculated ambush?
IT TOOK a "signature move" to land the first kiss on The Bachelor, but 27-year-old Ali nailed it in one.
The real estate agent, who has made no secret of her intense desire to bag the eligible chiropractor, last night successfully turned their kickboxing session into a kissing one.
But was the pash a smooth spontaneous move or was it a calculated ambush?
Either way, Ali got the jump on the rest of the bachelorettes and became the envy of the dating contest.
During their first one-on-one date, Tim asked Ali to give him a dancing lesson to tone down the "aggression of the boxing".
Quick as a flash, the Adelaide native then instructed her "prey" to orchestrate a particularly intimate move that landed her straight into her man's arms.
At which the pair locked eyes and locked lips immediately.
Well played Ali.
Speaking after the kiss, the lovesick contender said she was overwhelmed with happiness to have scored the debut pash.
"I'm speechless," she said, almost tearing up. "I wasn't expecting that at all, we were boxing one minute and then I was in his arms kissing him the next so, it was really good.
"It feels amazing, the feeling that I have in my stomach, it just fills me with joy, so cliche but yeh, that's how I feel.
"I never want this day to end, it's perfect."
Meanwhile, Bachelor Tim, who fell into the dance-move-trap perfectly, said he was just as drawn to her.
"There's this magnetism with Ali, I have to kind of pull myself back a little bit," he said.
Ali later told news.com.au she thought their solo date was perfect.
"He really tailored the date to me," Ali said. "I love boxing and I love being outdoors and I love anything that's going to give me an adrenalin rush, so he really took on those things that I said to him the first night and made it a really fun, spontaneous date."
But she refused to admit she was the dominant force in the lip-lock, saying it took them both by surprise.
"It was purely mutual, we met half way."
Ali has been criticised by viewers from the first episode for appearing too eager - something she says she's become aware of herself.
"In the first few episodes I know I come across very keen," she said. "It is me and I laugh when I see it on TV because I try to explain it to myself, 'why was I doing that?' But I've never competed for a man before, and I've never chased a man in my life.
"He took my breath away the first time I saw him and I really wanted to let him know that first night that I really liked what I saw and I wanted him to feel that I was interested in him."
Meanwhile, there was a little more love for the show in the ratings last night, with the new Wednesday timeslot adding 80,000 more viewers.
The program drew an audience of 656,000 to become Ten's highest rating show of the evening.
