ABC journalist Dan Ziffer reveals truth about ‘sex toy’ after object was spotted on live cross
ABC journalist Dan Ziffer reveals truth about the ‘sex toy’ on his shelf after eagle eyed viewers spotted a black object on a live cross.
An ABC journalist has had to quash rumours he had a sex toy on his shelf after eagle-eyed viewers spotted a suspicious black object during a live cross.
Dan Ziffer, from Melbourne, appeared in a live broadcast on ABC’s Afternoon Briefing from his home office. But among the family photos appeared to be a black phallic object.
A listener called KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show to let them know they’d spotted the “mishap”.
“I just look up on the television screen beside me, it was like ABC news and they cross over to this bloke and on the bookshelf behind him, I swear it’s a dildo,” the caller said.
“I can’t think what else that could be,” Jackie O said.
The awkward screenshot quickly made its way across Twitter, but Ziffer had a much more PG explanation for the questionable object.
The journalist said the object was a Geelong scarf he’d bought, explaining that the navy blue and white design created a “shine” effect when folded up.
