It might not sound legit, but radio co-host Fitzy surprised Wippa yesterday morning on air with the announcement.
Wippa should henceforth be referred to as The Much Honoured Wippa, Lord of Glencoe.
"It is official", Wippa confirmed to news.com.au, adding that he was on his way to the passport office as we spoke.
While the piece of land itself is somewhat small (one square foot, to be precise), apparently owning land in Scotland affords one the very prestigious title. This particular piece cost Fitzy 60 pounds (approx. $98).
"It's a farm, you can grow things on it. You can grow one corn cob", the radio host assured.
"I'll be farming miniature pigs, maybe a miniature pony if I can fit one on there."
Wippa also promised to host a 'house land party' in the coming weeks, but said he'd have to get the tick of approval from his "fussy neighbours".
Asked whether his new title has created a divide within the Nova camp, Wippa joked that he has since been given his very own office.
"There's a hot tub in there with girls who lie around and put grapes into my mouth."
But how is commoner Fitzy taking to Wippa throwing his weighty title around the place?
"He has to vacate the bathroom when I enter. It's divided the team a little, but he'll get over it", Lord Wippa assured.
"We stripped him of all his clothes and forced him to wear a hessian bag. He looks like a Bondi hipster now."
