Speculation is mounting that there’s far more to the Michael Clarke fracas than first thought, with an insider claiming more bombshell revelations are on the way within hours.

The video that has gripped the nation, which was filmed by a bystander in Noosa on January 10, saw the cricket legend in a wild fight with girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, along with her sister Jasmine and her husband, Today host Karl Stefanovic. The footage was initially published by The Daily Telegraph.

The very public blow-up began when the two high-profile couples and their celebrity accountant mate Anthony Bell were at dinner at a beachside restaurant.

It’s understood Clarke’s celebrity fashion designer ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade.

The footage shows a shirtless Clarke limping in a park surrounded by a group who are trying to calm the situation, while a furious Jade screams at him then slaps him across the face.

“You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog,” Jade screams.

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

Clarke continued to deny his any infidelity, swearing: “On my daughter’s life.”

As the screaming match continues, Clarke also seemingly said to Karl Stefanovic: “Karlos, I can tell you now c***, don‘t you f*****g walk away. She can, she can punch me, but you, you c***.”

“You piece of s**t, don‘t you f***ing speak to him,” Jade yelled at Clarke.

Entertainment commentator Peter Ford, who is heard on radio around Australia, reignited the drama this morning when he said in a tweet that there was actually a major twist in the story, with new details set to come to light very soon.

“Not everything was caught in the video. More will emerge over the weekend. The lack of any apologies for the public nature of the fracas is not working in their favour,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, an industry insider told news.com.au rumours were swirling that there were certain provocations that occurred before the filming began.

“I’m told there was a lot more leading up to it, before someone decided to start filming,” the insider said.

“There’s a lot of local pressure, because they don’t like southerners coming up and misbehaving, so there’s a big feeling that they want to make an example of someone or some people,” they said

“The media is up there talking to hospitality staff at the moment.”

It comes after reports that Michael Clarke is now in danger of losing a lucrative commentary role for Australia’s upcoming tour of India amid the continued fallout from the public altercation.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) is reviewing its plans to include the 41-year-old cricket great in its commentary team for the highly-anticipated tour, which gets underway on February 9.

The upcoming commentary gig is worth an estimated $144,000 for the four Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

Clarke was due to feature on the series coverage as the Australian voice of the global commentary feed alongside Matthew Hayden.

However, the BCCI is reportedly “fickle” with its appointments and has dismissed prospective commentators in the past for as little as a difference of opinion with the board.

The loss of the commentary role would be another brutal blow for Clarke, who’s already seen a prospective sponsorship deal with a skincare brand get ripped up within hours of the footage of his altercation being published on Wednesday evening.

So far, Clarke has said little about the bizarre incident, besides telling The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night: “I accept full responsibility for this altercation and am shattered by my actions”.
