Fans were quick to snub any suggestion the woman was “Usher’s guitarist” - pointing out the rockstar was in fact Grammy-winning R&B star H.E.R.
The American singer and songwriter, whose real name is Gabi Wilson, is no stranger to the Super Bowl either.
In 2021 she sang a stunning rendition of ‘America The Beautiful’ before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
The superstar has a slew of accolades under her belt including an Academy Award, Golden Globe and four Billboard Music Awards for her catalogue of work.
H.E.R. was joined by Ludacris, Alicia Keys and Lil-Jon who helped round out Usher’s guest-heavy setlist.
