US music star Jelly Roll confesses to accidentally ‘doing a poo’ on stage
US musician Jelly Roll, who had one of the biggest songs in Australia last year, has confessed to having an accident mid-song.
Somebody save him.
Rapper and singer Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, has revealed that he once “pooped” himself while performing a concert.
The surprising confession came on Friday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” as Jelly Roll and his “American Idol” co-star, country legend Luke Bryan, discussed some of their most embarrassing moments.
“I pooped myself one time,” the “Save Me” singer admitted. “I did. I’m sorry!”
Jelly Roll added that while he didn’t immediately realise what had happened, his fans in the audience certainly did.
“I watched this crowd go from loving me to just being completely out. Just completely out,” he continued. “I knew it.”
“And I overshared again,” the “I Am Not Okay” singer added.
Even more surprising was the fact that Bryan, when asked by Hudson how he was going to outdo that embarrassing moment, seemed to admit that he has also “pooped” himself mid-performance.
“My problem was I didn’t really get embarrassed about it when I did it,” the “Country Girl” crooner quipped.
Jelly Roll, 40, is currently serving as the first-ever artist in residence on “American Idol.” Bryan, 48, is serving as a judge on the show’s current 23rd season.
The “Son of a Sinner” singer’s stinky confession during “The Jennifer Hudson Show” this week came during the same episode that Bryan revealed which other country singer he is often mistaken for.
“Is it true that sometimes people get y’all mixed up?” Hudson, 43, asked about Bryan and fellow country crooner Blake Shelton.
“It is very true, really,” the “Drink a Beer” singer responded.
Bryan then recalled a story about when he and his son Tate, 14, stopped for snacks before a fishing trip and he was mistaken for Shelton, who is also 48.
“So Tate’s over there buying his Sweet Tarts and all that stuff, and the guy behind the counter is like, ‘You’re Blake Shelton,’” Bryan remembered. “And I said, ‘Really?’”
“And he said, ‘I know it, you’re Blake, you’re Blake,’” Bryan continued. “And he goes, ‘Are you Blake?’”
Luckily, the “Play It Again” singer was able to convince the man behind the counter that he was not, in fact, Blake Shelton.
“He goes, ‘Well, you’re just Blake Shelton’s doppelgänger,’” Bryan recalled. “And he kept going on, and there were several people in the line, and my son’s sitting there watching this go down.”
The pair’s appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” this week to promote “American Idol” also came days after Jelly Roll celebrated losing almost 200 pounds amid his ongoing weight-loss journey.
Earlier this month, during the Big Night AHT with Pat McAfee and Friends event on Wednesday, April 9, the “Need a Favor” artist revealed that he dropped from 540 pounds to 357 pounds.
“I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning,” Jelly Roll cheered. “I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden, baby!”
