SWIFT says she’s ‘80% Taylor and 20% jet lag’, but she’d better shake it off quick — she’s performing for 40,000 Perth fans tonight.

SUPERSTAR Taylor Swift has arrived in Perth ahead of her Australian tour.

The Grammy award winner will kick off her four-show Reputation tour — which has broken attendance records in the US — in Perth tonight.

She let fans know she’d arrived safe and sound — albeit a bit jetlagged — with this Instagram Story this afternoon:

More than 40,000 fans are expected to pour into Optus Stadium to see Swift’s first WA show since she played NIB Stadium as part of her Red tour in December 2013.

The pop singer was rumoured to have landed in Cairns on Monday to spend a few days resting before flying to Perth this afternoon.

The 28-year-old last toured Australia in 2015 but left Western Australia off her itinerary.

This time around, Swift will also perform in Melbourne (October 26), Sydney (November 2) and Brisbane (November 6).

When the singer’s Australian tour dates were announced last year, the decision not to include Adelaide upset her South Australian fans, who took to social media to complain they had been snubbed.

They weren’t the only Swift fans to express frustration over her Reputation tour which also stirred emotions in the US where punters complained tickets were too expensive.

“I paid $US150 ($A192) for my ticket with amazing seats for the 1989 tour,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Now for the same seats I have to pay about $US500 ($A640).”

English singer Charli XCX and New Zealand sibling duo Broods are expected to join the singer on the tour.

Earlier this month, Swift provoked a fierce debate by breaking her silence on political matters and announcing she would vote for two Democrats in Tennessee in the US congressional midterm elections in November.

She posted a rare political message on social media before continuing the conversation at the American Music Awards by encouraging fans to vote in the upcoming elections.

“Something I wish I knew about when I was 18 and voting for the first time: EARLY VOTING. It makes it so quick and easy to go and cast your vote before November 6,” she wrote on Instagram. “Early voting starts TODAY in Tennessee and goes to November 1. You can check out your state’s early voting dates at the link in my bio.”
