Post Malone’s Australian tour footage sparks debate over his health
Singer Post Malone’s thin frame and bizarre movements have sparked concerns during his Aussie tour – now his fans are hitting back.
Some Post Malone fans have expressed concern over the singer’s wellbeing during his current Australian tour – but the star’s own dad insists he’s the “healthiest he’s been in years”.
Post Malone, real name Austin Post, is currently supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their Aussie stadium tour – and the Circles singer is noticeably thinner than fans are used to seeing him.
Malone’s unusual moves on stage have also sparked concern: One viral Tiktok from an Aussie concert shows Malone’s arms jerking wildly, as he fidgets with his clothing. .
In another clip, Malone bends over on the stage floor, balancing his microphone with his lips as he puts his hand by his side.

It sure looks strange – but the star’s fans were quick to point out this is actually his usual performance style, particularly for the song he was singing, the emotional ballad I Fall Apart.
“Real posty fans now he’s always performed like this,” wrote one fan on TikTok.
“Nah posty is good, he’s just putting it all in to his performance,” wrote another.
“He always does this when he sings this song, shows how passionate he is,” said another.
And amid the scrutiny about his appearance and on-stage behaviour, a source close to the 27-year-old star told TMZ that he had been “adhering to a strict diet and working out” since gaining some weight for a recent movie role.
And Malone’s father also weighed in on the discussion, telling one worried fan on social media that his son was the “healthiest he’s been in years! Mentally and physically”.
It’s certainly not the first time Malone’s on-stage antics have sparked concern.
He was filmed stumbling and falling over on stage during a 2020 US concert, with one fan calling the footage “terrifying.”
Meanwhile, the band Malone’s opening for, Red Hot Chili Peppers, have copped some negative fan reactions during this Australian leg of the tour.
Many fans expressed their disappointment that the band’s setlist was light on the hits and instead leaned heavily on their two most recent albums – last night’s Melbourne concert marked the first time the band had played their best-known song, Under the Bridge, on the Aussie leg of the tour.
