General tickets for the highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour are set to go on sale on Tuesday.

Siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform stadium shows in Melbourne and Sydney in the band’s first Australian shows since 2005.

Initially slated to play respective gigs in Melbourne and Sydney on October 31 and November 7, additional performances were added for Melbourne (November 1) and Sydney (November 8) ahead of the sale due to “phenomenal demand”.

GENERAL TICKETS FOR AUSSIE GIGS ON SALE TUESDAY

General tickets for the Melbourne shows are set to go on sale from 10am AEDT on Tuesday, while the sale of Sydney tickets will go on sale two hours later at 12pm AEDT.

Tickets range between $183.28 to $407.57 for the Melbourne shows, while Sydney tickets are between $187.39 and $411.67.

Respective booking fees of $9.90 and $8.95 apply.

Fans will be able to snatch up a maximum of four tickets per customer.

It’s understood dynamic pricing will not be used for the sale of the Australian shows after the controversial ticketing practice sparked backlash during the sale of the UK and Irish shows.

The ticketing method allows Ticketmaster to adjust prices in line with supply and demand, according to the ticketing giant’s website, however the UK competition regulator has since launched an investigation.

The European Commission is also reportedly looking into the controversial practice.

The band released a statement on social media announcing dynamic pricing would not be used for the sale of the US shows, which also applies to their stops Down Under.

The announcement stated dynamic pricing could become “less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans” during events of “unprecedented ticket demand”.

NewsWire previously contacted Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation, for comment over the use of dynamic pricing during the Green Day presale.

STATE MOVES TO COMBAT SCALPING

The gigs have been announced as a “major event” in Victoria, meaning tickets can’t be resold for more than 10 per cent their original value.

Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said the state has a “very clear stance on ticket scalping”, urging people not to “resell tickets to concerts at inflated prices”, or face fines.

“The Oasis reunion tour will be one of the biggest concerts to come to our shores in 2025 – and we’ve declared their Melbourne concerts as major events to make sure fans can see the Gallagher brothers live at a fair price,” Mr Dimopoulos said.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan also declared ticket scalping of the event a “champagne super-no” in a post to Instagram.

NSW brought in laws to cap the reselling of all tickets at 10 per cent, with Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading Anoulack Chanthivong saying the state has “tough laws” in place.

“NSW doesn’t need to declare a major event to stop ticket resellers gouging consumers,” Mr Chanthivong said.

“NSW Fair Trading has tough laws to ensure NSW Oasis ticket buyers won’t look back in anger as they ride the supersonic champagne supernova over the wonderwall.”

Corporations caught breaching ticket reselling laws in NSW could be fined up to $110,000, while individuals can face up to $22,000.

The band’s reunion tour was announced in August, with Oasis previously revealing “the guns have fallen silent” and “the stars have aligned” while dropping 2025 dates across UK and Ireland.

“There has been no great revelatory moment that has ignited the reunion – just the gradual realisation that the time is right,” a press release for the UK and Ireland tour read.

The tour has completely sold out 28 dates across Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City.

The tour comes after the band infamously called it quits following a backstage scuffle at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009, with the Gallagher siblings becoming embroiled in a subsequent feud for years on.

Noel Gallagher released a statement in 2009 revealing he was relieved to be quitting the band.

“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,” Noel said at the time.
