Lady Gaga could be heading down under for the first time in more than a decade.

The pop star last touched down in Australia in 2014 for her ArtRave: Artpop Ball Tour, with Aussie fans missing out on her last couple tours.

However desperate fans could be in luck after the Poker Face singer hinted at finally returning to Australia while speaking on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.

“I can’t formally announce anything, but I can tell you that I’m going to be announcing … some things,” Gaga told the station.

“I miss my fans there so much, I really do.

“I have such fond memories of being in Australia, it’s a beautiful place and I really do want to come back soon.”

The hint comes off the back of her latest album, Mayhem, released on Friday.

The album’s single, Abracadabra, was released back in February, charting at 28 in the ARIA singles chart this week.

Album opener Disease was also pushed out in November last year.

Gaga, known for tackling multiple genres — even releasing an album with jazz legend Tony Bennett in 2014 — said Mayhem was comprised of all her “favourite things in a blender”.

“This album has so many different genres on it; from 90s grunge, industrial music, to funk music, 80s synth pop … it’s all my favourite things in a blender,” she told the station.

“It’s why I called it Mayhem — because it’s chaos.”

The 38-year-old also said she rehearses “every day”.

“I just love being a student of music,” Gaga said.
“I don’t know if people know this about me, but I practise a lot. I rehearse singing alone every day. The acoustics in the shower are fantastic.”

Gaga is also no stranger to film, having starred in A Star Is Born, House of Gucci, and most recently Joker: Folie à Deux.

Fans could see more of Gaga in the film sphere, with the Born This Way singer revealing she’d been “working on some stuff” with her fiance Michael Polansky.

She said she was excited to continue “exploring films more”.

“I really am excited to make some movies,” she said.

“I’ve been working on some stuff with Michael (Polansky), and I’m really excited about that.”
