Fans have gone wild for the backstage selfies of one of the world’s biggest K-pop stars, shared after her bandmate walked out of their Melbourne show mid-song.

On Tuesday, Blackpink star Lisa Manobal — known simply as Lisa — posted to Instagram a series of behind-the-scenes pictures as she waxed lyrical about the girl group’s excitement to perform in Melbourne.

In the first four snaps, which appeared to be taken in her dressing room, Lisa wore a red-feathered, bedazzled concert ensemble. The following pictures included a slew of other flamboyant looks.

“Happy to finally be back in Melbourne! I’m not ready to leave this city yet. gonna miss you guys so so much,” she told her 93 million followers.

Fans went wild for the post, with one simple comment — “who loves lisa?” — garnering almost 1000 likes.

Others referred to the star as “Stunning Queen Lisa” or “Queen Lisa” and even said she was their “dream girl”.

“Down Under Got EPIC with Queen Lalisa!!!” one fan wrote.

“Lisa is clear proof of how someone can really love their job, like a love relationship. Lisa is like loving herself, she builds an atmosphere on stage. Lisa I hope that in the future you will get better than this,” praised another.

But days before the hugely popular post, Lisa’s bandmate Jennie Kim bailed on their sold-out Melbourne concert just a few songs in.

Jennie left the audience baffled during Blackpink’s concert at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday after walking off the stage with no warning.

In footage filmed by a fan, Jennie could be seen singing the night’s fifth number, Lovesick Girls, before suddenly leaving the stage.

Her mid-song departure left Lisa and fellow bandmates Jisoo and Rose to perform the rest of the two-hour concert as a trio.

“It seems that we will be proceeding with the rest of the show without Jennie,” Rose later told the crowd.

“However, we will try our best to fill the stage up for you guys and give you the best night. In the meantime, our hearts will be with Jennie, supporting her.”

Jennie issued an apology to fans after the incident, saying: “I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to finish the show on Sunday. I’m doing my best to recover atm (at the moment). Your understanding and support means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who came to your Melbourne show. Love you guys.”

The K-pop industry is notoriously intense, with stars undergoing intensive full-time training right from childhood. Many of those who make it are backed by a PR machine that scrutinises their clothes, diet, appearance, relationships and even their mobile phone use.

Blackpink is heading towards the final leg of a 62-date world tour that has cemented their position as the most popular girl group in the world.

Their next planned concerts will take place this Friday and Saturday at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. The group has had huge success Down Under, with both their albums peaking at number two on the charts, having landed their first Australian number one single last year with Pink Venom.
