Chris Martin paused Coldplay’s Sydney concert after spotting a young boy being crushed in the crowd.

It was safety first for the British band’s frontman, who stopped performing mid-set at Accor Stadium when he saw the little boy distressed in the mosh pit near the front of the stage.

The video of the moment has since gone viral on TikTok, which shows Martin, a father of two, tenderly ensuring the boy’s safety at the band’s sold-out Wednesday night show.

“You can sit right here, OK? You don’t have to be squeezed,” he told the boy from the stage, as he gave him a better view of the concert from the other side of the crowd-control barriers.

“Then you don’t have to be squished by all these adults is all,” he explained, after requesting the security team “get some headphones for him”.

“You sit right there my little brother, OK. Better?”

“Now let’s get you ... do you want some coke or something? The drink, I mean,” he said as the crowd laughed. “We’ll take care of you, man.”

Just days ago, at Coldplay’s Melbourne show at Marvel Stadium, it was Martin who suffered an unfortunate concert incident when he fell through a trap door on the stage.

The frontman was reading out fans’ posters during a break between songs when he took a tumble and fell through a trap door while walking backwards on the stage.

The collective gasp could be heard from the sellout crowd, but the singer handled it like a pro in the clips floating around social media.

“That’s not planned,” he said, while gracefully trying to get back on stage and into view.

“Thank you for catching me,” he then told a production hand who was underneath the trap door.

Luckily, he did not suffer any injuries in the fall.
