Grammy-nominated artist Chris Isaak is set to bring his trademark quiff and guitar to our shores this year.
Live Nation announced this morning that the singer-songwriter will bring his In Concert tour Down Under in April, playing in the country for the first time since 2016.
The 67-year-old will kick off his concert series at Perth’s Kings Park & Botanic Garden on April 4, before performing at Sydney’s State Theatre on April 10, and the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on April 16.
He will also play a series of concerts at A Day On The Green outdoor music festival throughout the month.
“I am sitting on my front porch in Nashville, Tennessee and smiling. I have been stuck in my house for 9 days because of the snow. But I have been in a great mood as I know I’m
going back to Australia!” he said in a statement.
“I think it’s my favourite place to tour … or just hang out. I’m so ready! Bring on the sun! Bring on the beach! I think I’m gonna wax my guitar …. I told you I was excited!”
Isaak has had a successful run in the business, with close to 40 years of music under his belt. He has released 13 critically acclaimed studio albums, which birthed 12 chart-topping singles, including Wicked Game, Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing, and Somebody’s Crying.
The musician has also appeared in a few Hollywood films, including The Silence of the Lambs and That Thing You Do!, and he also appeared on the movie soundtracks for Eyes Wide Shut, True Romance, Wild at Heart and Blue Velvet.
In 2016, he was on the judging panel of The X Factor Australia alongside James Blunt, Guy Sebastian and Dannii Minogue.
