AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer has been hospitalised and will undergo emergency heart surgery in coming days, according to reports.

A statement on the band’s website confirmed today’s scheduled performance in Concord, California, had been cancelled “due to illness”.

One source said the 64-year-old would undergo emergency heart surgery, plunging the rest of the band’s tour in to doubt.

Kramer reportedly has a history of heart health concerns.

While the band, fronted by Steven Tyler, has only confirmed one pulled tour date so far, a crew source told TMZ a performance in Washington on Saturday would also be postponed.

The rest of the band’s shows across North America in coming weeks are now also in doubt.
