Blunder as Accor announces new ticket release for Taylor Swift Eras that was ‘not approved’

Fans hoping to secure last minute secret Taylor Swift tickets will be sorely disappointed after a shocking error.

Taylor Swift fans holding out for one last shot at securing a seat at her upcoming Eras Tour shows will be sorely disappointed as an offer for tickets was pulled.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Accor was offering new Category A and suite package tickets for all four of the singer’s upcoming concerts in Sydney next February.

The offer for tickets that could be purchased with Reward points from Accor was featured on its website until early Thursday afternoon.

Promised to go on sale on October 3, Category A tickets would have cost fans 12,000 Reward points, Suite Packages cost 35,000 points and to enter in a points auction is 1000 points.

This offer for Taylor Swift tickets was displayed on the Accor website until Thursday afternoon. The webpage no longer works.

The webpage also featured offers for other concerts inccluding The Weeknd’s upcoming After Hours Til Dawn Global Tour.

An Accor Stadium spokesman told NCA Newswire that the stadium was not aware of the new ticket release.

They were unable to answer questions about why the offer was featured on the Accor loyalty program’s website.

Frontier Touring has also issued a statement after the blunder, saying that tickets would not be made available through the ACCOR Live Limitless program.

“ACCOR is not approved for this activity and have confirmed they will be removing this offer immediately,” a Frontier Touring spokesperson said in a statement.

“We remind fans that the only safe – and approved - avenue to secure tickets is through the official ticketing agency for the tour, Ticketek.”

Fans who are looking to purchase resale tickets will have to wait a little longer until Ticketek sets up its official Marketplace.

Originally set to be available from September 4, the ticket seller has not revealed a new date for its resale event.

“Fans will be provided ample opportunity to list tickets ahead of the tour,” Ticketek says on its website.

The website is hoped to cut out scalpers who are infamous for charging eye-watering prices for resale tickets.

Ticketek has promised that its resale platform will cap prices at 10 per cent above the original costs.

The cheapest seat at Swift’s show sits at $79.90 each while those in A reserve paid $379.90.

Standard tickets for the shows range from $79.90 for the cheapest seats to $379.90 for those in A reserve.

VIP packages run up to $1249.90 for the top-of-the-line package – which gets a ticketholder a guaranteed A reserve seat plus a tote bag and other merchandise.

Hundreds of thousands of fans were left heartbroken after missing out on tickets to her upcoming Melbourne and Sydney shows.

Many waited for hours in digital queues for their chance, only to find out the allocation was exhausted.

Ticket sellers saw “unprecedented” demand for the shows, with over four million eager fans breaking the Australian record for people attempting to buy concert tickets.
