Matty Healy has responded to Taylor Swift’s rumoured “diss track” about him on her new album.

The 1975 front man who briefly dated the global pop phenomenon is believed by fans to be the subject of numerous songs on her new record-breaking record, The Tortured Poets Department.

Following the album’s release, a photographer ran up to Healy in the street and questioned how he’d “rate” the tracks that were about him on the record.

Healy appeared confused by the question, alluding to not having listened to the album.

He spluttered: “My diss track? Oh, I haven’t really listened to that much of it [the album], but I’m sure it’s good.”

More than one track on Tortured Poets is believed to be about Healy and his years-long history with Swift.

While the couple dated publicly in May 2023 before breaking up in early June 2023, they were rumoured to have been romantically involved in late 2014.

Fans have speculated that Swift’s songs The Tortured Poets Department, Guilty as Sin?, But Daddy I Love Him, Down Bad, The Black Dog, I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), and Fresh Out the Slammer are among those about Healy.

Meanwhile, according to an insider, Healy “breathed a sigh of relief” following the release of the record.

It’s thought the rocker was nervous of what Swift would say about him on the album.

The insider told US Weekly that people close to Healy “couldn’t be happier” with how Swift’s record turned out.

“Matty’s family knew about the relationship,” the insider explained. “And they were worried that Taylor was going to rip him apart. Matty has struggled with life in the public eye, and he’s been doing really well, but the last thing that he needs is for every Swiftie in the world to think he’s a villain.”

Meanwhile, it comes after Kim Kardashian reportedly wants Swift to “move on” from their years-old feud after the singer dropped an apparent diss track about the Skims founder.

An insider told People on Tuesday that Kardashian, 43, is “over” the drama and thinks it is time for the 14-time Grammy winner to put their beef to rest.

Swift surprised fans on Friday by releasing not one but two albums — the latter of which included a song seemingly about her bad blood with the Kardashians star, reports Page Six.

On thanK you aIMee, Swift sings about dealing with a bully, who ultimately only made her stronger.

“All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel,” she sings.

“Screamed ‘F**k you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’/ But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”
