Ruby Rose slams ‘sloppy mess’ Katy Perry: ‘Purposeful poop’

WOW. Katy Perry just dropped a pretty brutal response to Taylor Swift — and Swift’s Aussie bestie came out swinging.

KATY Perrytoday dropped the latest teaser track from her new album — and it seems she doesn’t have a fan in Ruby Rose.

Perry’s latest single, Swish Swish, is a pointed diss track featuring a guest verse from Nicki Minaj — and many are interpreting the savage lyrics as an attack at Perry’s longtime pop foe, Taylor Swift.

Here’s a lyrical sample:

“Your game is tired, you should retire, you’re about cute as an old coupon expired. And karma’s not a liar, she keeps receipts.”

“Funny my name keeps comin’ out your mouth, cause I stay winning,” she continues.

Swift famously turned her long-running feud with Perry into lyrical fodder for her 2014 hit single Bad Blood.

And one member of Swift’s infamous girl squad, Aussie Orange Is The New Black star Ruby Rose, was quick to offer a review of Perry’s new music.

She certainly didn’t hold back.

“Purposeful poop” = When Katy debuted her single Chained To The Rhythm earlier this year, she declared it would usher in a new era of socially conscious “purposeful pop.” What Ruby’s very cleverly done here is change the “pop” to “poop.”

“Bomb a Petit” = Katy’s follow-up single, Bon Appetit, was poorly received by fans and critics. What Ruby’s very cleverly done her is change the “Bon” to “Bomb.”

“A sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda” = This is Ruby’s less than glowing review of Swish Swish, which she claims samples a track by dance act Funkagenda.

“Stop trying to make Wit ... I mean Fetch happen.” = Katy’s upcoming album is called Witness, and Ruby’s telling the singer to give up on the album via the time-honoured medium of a classic Mean Girls quote.

Katy made another enemy in Taylor Swift’s girl squad.

In a follow-up tweet, Rose was careful to specify that the song’s guest rapper Nicki Minaj was excluded from her spray, tweeting “Not gonna lie Nicki is great on it and basically the only part that doesn’t sound a mess.”

Good move - best not to start a whole other celebrity feud when you’re fanning the flames of your current one, Ruby.
