Rolling Stones announce five more concerts in Australia
AFTER selling out more than 50,000 tickets to the reopening of the Adelaide Oval, the Rolling Stones announce five more concerts in Australia.
THE Rolling Stones have confirmed five extra concerts for their return to Australia in March - and one family reunion.
With their concert to open Adelaide Oval already a sellout, tickets to The Rolling Stones' four arena shows and a special Hanging Rock outdoors spectacular are expected to be snapped up instantly when they go on sale next week.
ROLLING STONES' ADELAIDE OVAL SHOWS TO BE BAND'S LARGEST
While The Rolling Stones played mostly stadiums on their last tour in 2006, this will be a rare opportunity for fans to see them indoors including at Sydney's Allphones Arena, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, with the tour kicking off at the Perth Arena on March 19.
It is strictly one night only in each location with no extra shows to be added.

Following Bruce Springsteen's unique concerts during this year's tour. Jagger said it was likely the Stones would shake up their setlists for each night on the 14 On Fire tour.
He promised all the favourites, interspersed with a couple of covers and deep album cuts.
"You are there to do what's expected of you, not to be breaking new ground," he told News Corp.
"But you have to change it up and have a fund of songs to change around."
Jagger, whose mother Eva Scutts was born at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, said he plans to catch up with his cousins and extended family while in Sydney.
Stones' guitarist Keith Richards said he was keen to keep the band on the road after their 50 & Counting shows in Europe and America last year.
"The energy between the band is better than ever and we're all looking forward to coming back down under; I can't wait to get back on stage with the boys," he said.
After luring Springsteen back for two tours in one year, local promoter Michael Gudinski has scored another coup securing the signature of the Stones for the 14 On Fire concerts which may possibly be their last ever in Australia
They will join Rod Stewart, Leonard Cohen and Springsteen as one of the marquee artists to play Hanging Rock near Gudinski's home in the Macedon Ranges.
"I saw them at the Hyde Park shows and they were on fire, which is why I think they have named this tour 14 On Fire," Gudinski said.
"I feel very privileged to be bringing them back to Australia; if you'd asked me 40 years ago if I would be touring them, I would have said you were dreaming.
"It is absolutely one show in each market; they only play two or three shows a week."
There will be a Frontier Touring and RollingStones.com presale of tickets from 9am on December 9 with general tickets on sale from December 16.
The Rolling Stones perform at Perth Arena on March 19, Adelaide Oval (sold out) on March 22, Sydney's Allphones Arena on March 25, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on March 28, Hanging Rock on March 30 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on April 2.
