TRUST a Latin lover like Ricky Martin to turn a tweet about the importance of education into something sexual.

But nobody’s complaining.

The Puerto Rican singer recently tweeted the following message to his 10.8 million followers:

"La educación es como una erección; si la tienes, se nota."

The translation?

“Education is like an erection, if you have one you can tell.”

The saucy tweet has been shared over 7500 times on Twitter, and marked as favourite 7000 times.

Huffington Post reports that Martin has long been an advocate for education, opening a school called the Tau Center for underprivileged children in his native Puerto Rico earlier this year.

“To see the healing process of these boys and girls is wonderful. And now it’s 120 kids but we want to take the Tau Center to other countries,” the site quoted him as saying.
