Revealed: Staggering amount Adele made per day last year
She hasn’t released a record since 2016, but Adele’s still managed to rake in a truly eye-watering amount of money every single day since.
Adele banked a whopping $110,700 a day last year — despite not releasing a record since 2016.
Her monster-selling albums, singles and 2016-2017 tour are still raking in the cash for the star — who is now said to be worth an eye-watering $279 million, reports The Sun.
The 31-year-old Grammy winner has two companies — Melted Stone Ltd and Melted Stone Publishing Ltd — to look after her avalanche of cash.
Melted Stone Ltd proved that the money was still pouring in from royalties from her records 19, 21 and 25 and from her tour, which showed a bottom line of $91 million, up from $57 million in 2017.
According to figures published last week, the firm has an impressive $81 million in cash, and the star took a $7.45 million dividend payment in 2018.
Meanwhile, Melted Stone Publishing Ltd has a bottom line of $37.8 million, which is up from $30.5 million in 2017. And $37.6 million of that is in cash.
This firm takes the profits from her lyrics and sheet music. That means the two firms raked in an eye-watering total of $41 million in 2018.
But another bumper year will also be a bonus for the tax man as she hands over millions to HM Revenue and Customs.
At the time she released her first album 19 — which shifted 31 million copies — she voiced her opposition to the top rate of tax.
The mum-of-one revealed to Q magazine: “I’m mortified to have to pay 50 per cent. I use the NHS (British public health system). I can’t use the public transport any more.
“Trains are always late, most state schools are sh*t and I’ve got to give you, like, four million quid — are you having a laugh?”
The news comes as fans recently went wild over rumours she’s releasing new music as early as next week.
Adele’s last album was released in November 2015, selling 22 million records globally.
Now, six months after announcing her divorce from husband Simon Konecki, it’s thought she’s bringing out a new single.
A tweet from Music News Facts read: “@Adele will release her NEW ALBUM on Nov. 8th 2019, according to Showbiz! This means that her lead single will drop as soon as next week.”
It got fans speculating that the singer is keen to drop new tunes about her recent heartbreak.
The former couple were married for three years and welcomed a son Angelo in 2012 before their $260 million divorce.
In April, the star’s spokesman confirmed: “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Adele released her debut album, 19, in 2008, which contained the songs Chasing Pavements and Hometown Glory and reached number one in the UK.
She is now dating Skepta, who is one of the biggest British rappers in the world and also from Tottenham.
The Sun exclusively revealed how Adele and Skepta had enjoyed several dates in the past, with friends now predicting that they could potentially make it official.
Adele is believed to have introduced him to old friend Laura Dockrill and James Corden during a trip to the Crystal Maze Experience in London last month to celebrate Skepta’s 37th birthday.
