Placebo rocker Brian Molko lashes out at Soundwave video journalist
PLACEBO frontman Brian Molko wasn't too happy about being filmed doing what he does best.
FOR someone ready to headline a music festival in front of 40,000 fans, Placebo frontman Brian Molko can sure be camera-shy.
The British rocker lashed out at news.com.au video journalist Helen Parker during the Soundwave festival at the weekend, launching not one - but two - bottles of water at her as she filmed the band's set from the photographer's pit.
The footage shows Molko pointing at Parker mid-song before fetching a bottle of water, unscrewing the cap and throwing it at her.
As she keeps shooting, Molko goes for take two and sprays her with a glass of water.
It is common practice for accredited media to shoot bands from the photographer's pit during their set and Parker was not approached to move by any officials before the incident.
The weekend festival featured more than 50 local and international rock, metal and punk acts at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway.
Police and drug-detection dogs patrolled the festival's two entrances and also nearby Blacktown train station.
By 4pm they had made 38 drug arrests, including one man allegedly caught with 15g of amphetamines and another allegedly with 76 ecstasy tablets.
