Rihanna joins Calvin Harris at Coachella, Flume dominates and what was Sia wearing this time?
AUSSIE export Sia’s outdone herself on the fashion stakes at Coachella this year. But it was Rihanna’s surprise appearance that had everyone talking.
ADELAIDE export Sia made a suitably surreal appearance at the Coachella Festival.
As expected, Sia wore her trademark half and half wig, covering most of her face.
However one outfit — like a very fashionable toilet roll holder — smuggled a dancer who climbed out from underneath the dress.
After nearly self-destructing on her last solo tour, Sia now opts for hiding her face to put the focus on her voice not her face or her fame.
Just as I was beginning to worry there wasn't room left for weird art at Coachella, a tiny modern dancer climbed out from under Sia's dress

Sia’s Coachella set featured dancers and video interludes, and was more of a performance piece than regular festival set, with no talking to the crowd or live musicians on stage.
She performed a greatest hits set including early classic Breathe Me as well as recent hits Elastic Heart, Alive, Cheap Thrills, Big Girls Cry, Titanium and Chandelier
She also played her own version of Diamonds, a song she wrote for Rihanna.
While Sia has a string of overseas festival shows planned she has yet to announce any concerts in Australia.

Rihanna was the superstar guest rumoured to surface during Calvin Harris’ headline DJ slot.
She sang their No. 1 collaboration We Found Love, singing over her own original vocals and letting the crowd hit some of the high notes.
Harris’ extravagant production saw him play most of his biggest hits — Summer, How Deep Is Your Love, Outside, I Need Your Love, Sweet Nothing, Under Control — but he also dropped the original version of Adele’s Hello, asking the crowd to singalong for a bit of a break between bangers.
Headlining the prestigious outdoor stage at the same time as Harris was Australia’s own Flume, aka Harley Streeten.
It is his second time at the iconic festival, and representing his popularity in the US the crowd sang along to his hit Never Be Like You, featuring singer Kai.
