Kanye West reportedly pulls out of Coachella as he seeks treatment
Kanye West has reportedly pulled out of the Coachella music festival, which he was set to headline in less than two weeks.
Kanye West has dropped out of Coachella as he seeks treatment following his online tirades against ex-wife Kim Kardashian, according to reports.
Sources tell New York Post the billionaire rapper — now known as Ye — has dropped out of the line-up for the California festival, which takes place over two weekends in Indio.
It was planned he would be joined onstage by Travis Scott, but the publication reports neither will appear.
Rumours in the music business are swirling that The Weeknd may replace Kanye as the headliner.

A source told the website, “Kanye has definitely pulled out of Coachella. He hasn’t been rehearsing or putting on a production. Travis Scott was supposed to be joining him onstage.
“Now it would be virtually impossible for him to get it together. Look for The Weeknd to replace him.
“Kanye is backing out because he wants to stay out of the public eye after all the drama with Kim and Pete, he wants to get help.”
Page Six revealed at the weekend that Kanye had told Kardashian, 41, he was going to remain quiet and get help after publicly dragging her and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, on social media.
Sources said he would not be “making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements.”
The Jesus Walks rapper – who has been unusually silent on social media lately – was previously scheduled to be one of the headliners for Coachella alongside Billie Eilish, Harry Styles and Swedish House Mafia.
However, after a series of social media rants, the music festival was under pressure to remove West as a performer.
Under the alias “Kim Pete,” an individual launched a Change.org petition saying organisers “should be ashamed of themselves” for giving West “any more of a platform” to spew hate.
The petition reached nearly 50,000 signatures, with one petitioner writing, “Kanye is a narcissistic egotistical bully who thinks his money and celebrity give him a free pass to abuse, threaten, shame and defame others. Why he has been allowed to get away with this appalling behaviour for so long is a joke.”
Coachella is set to take place from April 5 to April 24.
A rep for West did not immediately return request for comment.
