Lorde owns Kyle Sandilands when quizzed about friend Taylor Swift

SHOCK jock Kyle Sandilands tried to quiz 17-year-old singer Lorde about her sexuality during an interview this morning. She soon put him in his place.

TEENAGE singer Lorde put shock jock Kyle Sandilands in his place this morning when he asked the 17-year-old if she was a lesbian.

Appearing on this morning’s Kyle and Jackie O Show to discuss her upcoming Australian tour, Lorde was asked about her friendship with country-pop superstar Taylor Swift. The pair regularly hang out when Lorde is in the US, sharing snaps of their catch-ups with fans on their respective social media accounts.

“Are you bringing your new bestie, Taylor Swift? I see you guys’ pictures everywhere. Are you guys, uh, are you together now?” Sandilands asked, which left Lorde momentarily speechless.

“Not together as in lesbians: I’m not talking about ‘Ellen together,’” he added, which clearly irritated the teen singer.

“Would it be — what do you mean you’re not talking about ‘Ellen together’? Is there something wrong with lesbians?” she asked.

Kyle and Jackie O spend a suspicious amount of time around each other. We wonder if they’

“Oh my god no, I would love that! I would totally love that!” Sandilands replied, ramping the creepiness level up a few more notches.

Apparently very excited at the prospect, he then stammered, “Are you going to confirm now you’re in a lesbian relationship with her, with her, with her?”

“Don’t even try it. Not working,” Lorde replied, to sniggers from the hosts.
