Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll reunite to perform iconic song

Guy Sebastian welcomed a very special guest at his latest concert, where he performed a nostalgic duet with fellow Idol star Shannon Noll.

It’s the reunion Australians have been waiting 20 years for.

And finally, Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll have hit the stage to perform a duet, singing a rendition of Moving Pictures’ What About Me, which Noll famously covered in 2004.

Sebastian, who controversially beat Noll on the debut series of Australian Idol in 2003, performed at the Sydney Opera House Sunday night, where he surprised the crowd with his special guest.

They sang arm-in-arm during parts of the song, and later shared a sweet hug at its conclusion much to the delight of fans.

Sebastian, 42, and Noll, 48, have maintained a friendship over the years, with Noll sharing a photo of the pair to Facebook in October.

“Great to see my mate Guy Sebastian today. We were doing a shoot at Maroubra, and he called in to say G’day! Always great to catch up!” he wrote alongside a happy snap.

When Sebastian hosted the 2019 ARIA Awards, he gave Noll a cheeky shout-out.

“Now, if you do win, please just be gracious or at least pretend. I’ve gotten pretty good at it. “I’ve been nominated about 30 times. I’ve only won three. But there’s no shame in coming second. Just ask Nollsy.”

Noll later responded on Twitter, referring to Sebastian as his “brother”.

“When I met you, brother I knew you would win, have always been proud that I came 2nd to you, cause you are amazing, BUT I’ve always come 2nd, just have to ask my wife!
