Forget Kanye — here are the real stars of Madonna’s new music video

A CELEBRITY cameo in a music video is the oldest trick in the book, but Madonna virtually empties her contacts list in her latest clip.

A CELEBRITY cameo in a music video is a trick as old as music videos themselves, but in Madonna’s latest clip for Bitch, I’m Madonna, the New Yorker virtually empties her contacts list in one go.

The video premiered on tidal.com on Wednesday (but is now available for everyone to see on YouTube), and the Jonas Akerlund-directed piece is immediately notable for appearances by Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, who also provides a guest rap.

But while these A-list pop stars might add glamour, their phoned-in contributions are massively underwhelming. Look closely, however and you’ll see that “Bitch, I’m Madonna” has plenty of other highlights far more worthy of the limelight.

Blink and you’ll miss them — so here’s what to look out for:

0:01: The mini-Madonnas

Vintage Madge.

The video for Bitch, I’m Madonna starts with four young girls dressed in the image of Madge in her vintage, mid-’80s period (complete with hair bows and Catholic crosses), miming along to the song’s intro. Maximum sass from minimum frames.

The comic and actor was clearly added for no other reason than to up the celeb count. But you have to hand it to him: He mimes the track’s hook with zeal and, for a moment, unleashes his inner rock star

The only thing better than sock puppets is neon-coloured sock puppets, and Bitch, I’m Madonna provides a small squad of them. Not even Miley Cyrus’ glittery panda eyes can compare.

The Spanish model makes a brief appearance, and aside from providing the rugged hunk factor, Kortajarena opens himself up to Madonna’s whims by having a mysterious red drink thrown down his neck. He takes it like a champ.

2:15: Madonna’s son, David

The cast of professional dancers featured in Bitch, I’m Madonna are given a run for their money by Madge’s adopted son, David Banda. Midway through the clip, the nine-year-old breaks out some serious moves as the crowd cheers him on.

There are rumours that Banda may feature as a backup dancer on Madonna’s upcoming world tour in support of her latest album, Rebel Heart, and based on this evidence, he could easily steal the show.
