Ed Sheeran’s staggering daily earnings revealed

Ed Sheeran is making more money in a single day than most of us make in a year.

Ed Sheeran is raking it in.

The singer paid himself $31.3 million — the equivalent of $86,000 a day — after one of his companies made a staggering $59.8 million last year, The Sun reports.

The business only handles the Shape of You singer’s earnings from his songwriting and records and excludes the cash he’ll rake in from his gigs.

The $35.3 million profit of Ed Sheeran Limited is on top of the record-breaking $1.11 billion the Divide world tour has already generated for Sheeran, 28.

An insider said: “Being on a 250-date tour which takes in nine million fans around the globe obviously means he’s preoccupied with performing.

“But this bumper profit still shows that people are lapping up his music and, crucially, still buying what he records in huge numbers. Most of the profits from the Divide album, which he released in 2017, will be included in the newly released figures.”

Ed Sheeran Limited made $6.7 million more in the previous financial year, though he paid himself slightly less — $30.9 million.

The singer has been on a spending spree over the past two years, expanding his portfolio of properties to 22 at a cost of $86 million.

Sheeran married childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn, 27, last year and in August announced was taking a hiatus at a gig in his home county of Suffolk.

He said: “I’ve been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing. There is something very bittersweet about it.

“This is my last gig for probably 18 months.”
