DANNII Minogue has all but confirmed she will play a secret club show in Melbourne — her first hometown show in 18 years.

St Kilda’s GH Hotel has been teasing a surprise performer on Thursday June 9 with the heading This Is It, a reference to one of Minogue’s hits.

Today internet-savvy Minogue posted the same artwork as the GH’s surprise show on her social media.

The teaser has now switched to quoting lyrics from Minogue’s hit Put the Needle on It.

Sources say Minogue was looking for a venue for a low-key warm up show before she opens for Culture Club at Rod Laver Arena on June 10.

The singer has assembled a full live band and has been in rehearsals for the last month.

The GH is one Melbourne’s most popular gay and lesbian venues, leading some fans to assume the show would feature a drag queen tribute to Minogue, not an actual Minogue.

Minogue’s management did not deny or confirm the rumours.

Minogue has not played a live gig in her hometown since 1998, but told News Corp last month she left TV hit The X Factor to kickstart her music career this year.

She revealed she has recorded a song written by hitmaker Sia and hopes to release new music shortly.

Tickets for the GH show are $35.

Minogue’s hits include Love and Kisses, I Begin to Wonder, Put the Needle on It, Who Do You Love Now, Success, This Is It, Jump to the Beat, All I Wanna Do, Everything I Wanted, So Under Pressure, Don’t Wanna Lose this Feeling, Perfection and Disremembrance.
