Chris Martin dedicates song to his ‘universe’ Dakota Johnson at Coldplay concert
Chris Martin’s on-off relationship with Fifty Shades star Dakota Johnson is all the way back on as he showed in this touching moment.
Chris Martin took the time to dedicate Coldplay’s latest ditty to girlfriend Dakota Johnson during the group’s Tuesday night show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.
“This is about my universe, and she’s here,” Martin, 44, gushed from the stage as the band began to play their new song, “My Universe,” a collaboration with the group BTS. For anyone still confused at that point, the frontman also pointed to Johnson, 32, in the balcony during the serenade.
The “Fifty Shades” actress responded by holding her palms together in appreciation before throwing them both in the air and grooving along to the new track.
Johnson and Martin have been linked since 2018, and briefly broke things off in June 2019 only to reconcile, sparking engagement rumours in 2020 as the actress was seen rocking a massive emerald ring on her left ring finger.
Soon after, it was revealed that the pair had officially moved into a spacious Malibu abode that they got for the bargain-basement price of $12.5 million, down from its $14 million list price.
Martin was previously married to Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow, 49, with whom he shares daughter Apple, 17, and son Moses, 15.
The pair of exes have a great relationship, with Paltrow recently saying the “Fix You” singer is “like a brother.”
“He’s like my brother,” Paltrow said of Martin in June. “You know, he’s my family. I love him. I’m so grateful to him for giving me these kids. It worked out well … You know, it really did, I have to say.”
