Cardi B feuds with conservative commentator Candace Owens

A feud between Cardi B and Candace Owens has escalated, with the rapper accusing the conservative commentator of something very rude.

A feud between Cardi B and Candace Owens escalated Monday as the Bronx rapper accused the conservative commentator of having an “identity crisis” for having a white husband, to which Owens urged Cardi B to “stop reading your DNC script”.

In a series of bizarre expletive-laden videos in which she doesn’t appear on camera, Cardi B suggested Owens did not care about black people.

“She has an identity crisis. Just because she’s black, doesn’t mean she give a f**k about blacks,” Cardi B said after alleging that the father of Owens’ husband is part of a group she likened to an “upper-class KKK in the United Kingdom”.

Owens clapped back that Cardi B must not be showing her face in her videos because “she is reading a script”.

“You’re going to tell me she’s just not going to show her face in all these videos? She shows her face no matter what, no matter what she looks like,” Owens said. “So Cardi B, stop hiding. Stop reading your DNC script. You look ridiculous.”

Owens then held up a plush sheep to the camera and impersonated Cardi B in a mockery of her Instagram videos.

The feud between the two began Sunday evening after Owens, 31, shared a clip of her appearance on The Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Edition.

Shapiro was mocked by the rapper last month after criticising her hit song WAP – which stands for “Wet-Ass P***y” – with his PG-rated live read of the lyrics going viral.

“Since most black people didn’t have the spine to admit that (Shapiro) was 100 per cent correct about (Cardi B) and how her music and platform contributes to the disintegration of black culture and values … here you go,” Owens captioned the clip from her sit-down.

In the interview, Owens called Cardi B “illiterate” and an unwitting tool of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“It is one of the biggest insults,” she said.

“If black Americans are not insulted by the fact that Joe Biden, who has been hiding in his basement, you know, for the entire year, made an appearance to come out because he was going do an interview with Cardi B. Do we have nothing better to offer?”

Owens said Mr Biden was “pandering”. “You look at Cardi B’s Instagram, and you see she has millions of followers, and you think, ‘OK, this is an illiterate person, and if I appeal to this illiterate person … They think she’s cool … Black people will vote for me.’’” Owens said.

“It’s basically saying, ‘Black people, you are stupid, you are dumb, and you are so foolish.’”

Owens was referring to an interview with Cardi B that Biden took part in last month for Elle magazine. The rapper spoke about her fears as a black woman in America and how she’s already thinking about the safety of her two-year-old daughter.

In another tweet linking to a video of the interview with Shapiro, Owens wrote, “I’m almost six months pregnant and had to rip (Cardi B) a new WAP.”

Cardi B said in response, “Your baby singing wap wap wap this some dry a*s p***yyyy.”

The rapper fired back at the notion that she was being used by Mr Biden to cater to black voters.

She referenced her sister Hennessy Carolina and her sister’s girlfriend getting into a verbal altercation with what she called “racist MAGA supporters” during a recent beach trip to the Hamptons as an example of the lingering prevalence of racism in the US.

“You wanna know why joe gotta talk to me Candice cause I have the #1 song & yet my sister can’t go to the beach in the Hampton’s wit out trump supporters harassing cause they were by themselves,” Cardi B tweeted.

The war of words continued on Instagram and Twitter through Monday, with Owens slamming Cardi B for hypocrisy over her calls to defund police and critique of the US.

“Never listen to a person that has private security but wants the public police defunded. Never listen to a multi-millionaire that made it here in America, but trashes our country,” Owens tweeted.

“These Hollywood idols are frauds, leading sheep down paths they never took when they discovered success.”
