DRESSED in what appeared to be an Islamic ‘Abaya’ and asking how she could help, Adele was a surprise addition to the vigil for those dead and missing in London.

Resident says Grenfell Tower Fire was "no accident"

SINGING superstar Adele has been photographed making a low-key visit to London’s Grenfell Tower fire, comforting those at a nearby vigil for the dead and missing.

Adele was reportedly “asking if anyone needed help” when she made a surprise appearance at the vigil, and was photographed embracing mourners. It’s understood she arrived with husband, businessman Simon Konecki.

Twitter user @FourBee shared candid snaps from the site of the vigil, showing Adele wearing a long black robe-like dress reminiscent of the Abaya worn by many Muslim women.

“I guess that’s why she was dressed in an Abaya to blend in as a lot of the ppl (sic) around were in one,” said the Twitter user who posted the pictures.

The Twitter user declined requests for media interviews, explaining that “There’s nothing to talk about, she’s a beautiful soul that just wanted to see if everyone was alright.”

The Hometown Glory singer owns a house in nearby Kensington, where it’s believed she lives for most of the year. She’s not the only London-based celebrity to offer help and comfort in the wake of the devastating fire, which has killed at least 12 people and left hundreds homeless.

Singer Lily Allen is a nearby resident and live-tweeted the disaster from its earliest moments, offering a “bed, a lift or tea” to those who needed it. Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, who owns an Italian eatery in a nearby Westfield, announced that families affected would be given free meals at the restaurant.
